Africa CDC- HEPSANET joint training

From 4th to 6th September 2023, Africa CDC and HEPSANET jointly organized a Good Clinical Practice (GCP) workshop in Dar-Es-Salaam, in Tanzania as part of the bigger aim of promoting quality conduct of Hepatitis B studies in Africa.

The workshop was successfully attended by a total of 33 healthcare professionals involved in Hepatitis B studies in various English-speaking African countries including The Gambia, Nigeria, Malawi, Zambia, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Tanzania.

The GCP training was delivered by qualified staff of the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) of the Medical Research Council The Gambia.

A similar workshop is planned for French-speaking African countries early October 2023.
